Heather Nauert

Heather Nauert serves as a co-host of "FOX & Friends First." Presented weekdays at 5 AM/ET, the program is an hour-long expansion of "FOX & Friends" and is anchored by a pair of rotating hosts.

Nauert returned to FOX News Channel (FNC) in 2007 as the co-host of the "Big Story with John Gibson & Heather Nauert." Nauert also co-hosted "Good Day New York" on WNYW-TV (FOX).

Before returning to FNC, Nauert was a general assignment correspondent for ABC News where she contributed to "World News Tonight," "Good Morning America," and "Nightline." While there, she also received an Emmy nomination for her work on the special series "13 Around the World."
 
Prior to her stint with ABC News, Nauert was a correspondent for FNC from 2001 to 2005 where she regularly contributed to "The Big Story" and covered numerous breaking news situations including the Iraqi elections and the aftermath of 9/11. She was also a FNC contributor from 1998 to 2001.

In 1996, Nauert was a reporter for the syndicated business program "First Business," a weekly newscast airing in 110 markets nationwide. She has worked previously as a government affairs consultant on health insurance, tax and Social Security issues in Washington, D.C.

She graduated from Mt. Vernon College in Washington DC with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and she received her Master's in Journalism from Columbia University. Nauert is also a term member at the Council of Foreign Relations.
