An alleged drug dealer in Los Angeles went directly to jail a bit earlier than expected Tuesday afternoon when he crashed his car into a downtown prison while trying to evade police, the Los Angeles Times reported.

After being observed making an apparent drug deal at about 4:30pm, undercover narcotics officers chased the man as he drove the wrong way down several streets in downtown Los Angeles.

After officers stopped their pursuit, the wild driver hit several parked cars before smashing into the Los Angeles County Central Jail, police said.

The man was immediately arrested by police, who said they were still investigating the case Tuesday night.
