A Transportation Security Administration agent was arrested earlier this week on federal charges for her role in an alleged phony marriage scheme to secure U.S. citizenship for her purported spouse.
The plot unraveled when two male TSA agents who claim to have dated the woman, Krista Taha, 34, told investigators that their courtship with Taha was while she was reportedly married to Ali Taha, a Lebanon native, The Smoking Gun reports.
One of the TSA agents is also the father of Krista's four-year-old son.
The felony criminal complaint filed Tuesday in a U.S. District Court in Detroit states that since 2002, Krista and Ali conspired to defraud the United States "of and concerning the governmental functions and rights of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services."
