Pa. pastor charged with flashing 2 women
DRESHER, Pa. – A Methodist pastor has stepped down from his suburban Philadelphia church after being accused of exposing himself to two women.
Authorities say 46-year-old Richard Rogers flashed women on two separate occasions. He was arrested Monday and resigned his post at Jarrettown United Methodist Church in Dresher, Montgomery County.
Investigators say the alleged victims were members of an organization outside the church.
Rogers was released on bail on charges including lewdness and indecent exposure. A phone listing for him could not immediately be located.
Bishop Peggy Johnson, who oversees about 900 Methodist congregations in the region, says the church began investigating Rogers after learning of the complaints against him in May. He was placed on temporary leave June 1.
