SEATTLE – A Seattle judge says he won't make any immediate ruling in the case of an Oregon mother who wants to keep her teenage sons away from a woman who killed her own daughters 20 years ago.
Trisha Conlon had two children with her former husband, John P. Cushing Jr., in the 1990s. But they split up, and John Cushing has since gotten back together with his first wife, Kristine, who killed their 4- and 8-year old daughters in California in 1991.
Kristine Cushing blamed it on antidepressants and was found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Conlon's lawyer asked the judge Thursday to find that the parenting plan should be modified to keep Kristine away from the boys. John Cushing says Kristine loves them and poses no danger.
