NBC has added a fifth pilot to its fall season with the pickup of Chase, a drama produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

"Chase has all the undeniable elements of a thrill ride that you would expect from a Jerry Bruckheimer action series," said Angela Bromstad, NBC's president of primetime entertainment. "Equally important, it also features a great cast.  Kelli Giddish [Past Life] is a breakout star as the lead."

The series follows a team of U.S. marshals who hunt down violent offenders and dangerous fugitives. Cole Hauser (K-Ville), Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives), Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break) and Rose Rollins (The L Word) also star.

NBC picks up new J.J. Abrams drama series

Chase joins previously announced fall pickups Undercovers, The Event, Love Bites and Outsourced.
