Salt Lake Airport Police Arrest Unruly Passenger

SALT LAKE CITY -- Airport officials say a Delta passenger spent much of a flight from Honolulu to Salt Lake City in a brawl with his brother-in-law.

The man was arrested after the Delta flight landed in Salt Lake City on Tuesday.

The operations manager of Salt Lake City International Airport, Dave Korzep, says the man also struck an airport officer during his arrest.

Korzep says the suspect was booked into jail on suspicion of intoxication, disorderly conduct and assault on a peace officer.

Korzep says the man is a Russian national who lives in Colorado. He wasn't identified.

FBI spokeswoman Debbie Dujanovic Bertram says the bureau is leaving the incident to local authorities.
