Investigators say they've linked a man who killed himself after shooting three people to death in eastern Missouri to the fatal shooting of another woman.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says unspecified DNA evidence and telephone records link gunman Nathan Fortner to the shooting death of 20-year-old Erica Wade.

Wade was an acquaintance of Fortner. Her body was found in an abandoned house after authorities say Fortner went on his Nov. 30 rampage, killing his ex-girlfriend, her mother and that woman's live-in boyfriend in Bonne Terre, Mo., Fortner then killed himself as police closed in.

The patrol said Tuesday there's no evidence anyone other than Fortner was involved in the deaths.

Fortner's sister has said Nathan Fortner was unemployed, bipolar and overcome with despair over the breakup with his ex-girlfriend.
