SELMA, Ala. – A relative of a woman who was shot along with her infant son inside an Alabama church had confided to a pastor that she feared the baby's father had a gun when he followed the family into the sanctuary.

Twenty-six-year-old James Junior Minter faces three counts of attempted murder after wounding the baby, his ex-girlfriend and a church pastor. A judge on Monday set his bond at $3 million.
Pastor Bob Carswell says the comment from the relative was the only warning. He said Minter jumped up and fired several times, aiming directly at the woman's head. He said the woman's father and other parishioner grabbed him from behind, while Carswell grabbed him from the front.
