Government prosecutors have asked a federal judge to deny bail to a Navy SEAL accused of smuggling assault rifles from Iraq into the U.S. for sale and shipment to Mexico.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert S. Huie told the judge Friday that Nicholas Bickle is a flight risk and dangerous.

Bickle will remain in custody until judge William V. Gallo decides on the matter at a hearing Nov. 9.
