A 90-year-old man is accused of threatening a U.S. Postal Service employee when he wasn't satisfied with the service received at a post office near Boca Raton.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says the man pointed a handgun at the employee Monday and threatened to "blow his head off."

Responding deputies took him into custody outside the post office. An incident report says deputies recovered the firearm and placed it into evidence. The man's name wasn't released. He was taken to West Boca Medical Center for evaluation. Officials say that once he's released, he'll be booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on the state charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Federal postal police are expected to file charges of bringing a gun into a post office.
