Can drive or initiative be taught?

That's the question that Bryan Elliott of the Behind the Brand video series puts to world-renowned dog behaviorist Cesar Millan in this clip.

"To me, [drive] was a necessity -- the want to have," he says. "And when people have, they lose the drive, because it's been given to them. The most important part is not the ups but the downs -- that's when you become wise, this is what makes you stronger, this is when you learn to trust your instincts a lot more, and you become more focused."
