Spieth maintains advantage at Augusta

Augusta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Spieth has played the first six holes at 1-under par to remain four strokes clear of Justin Rose during Sunday's final round at the Masters.

Spieth stands at 17-under par for the tournament.

Rose, who is also 1-under through the first six holes at Augusta National, was at 13-under

Three-time Masters champion Phil Mickelson played the first six holes at even- par to remain at minus-11. Dustin Johnson carded a 3-under 33 on the opening nine to climb into fourth place at 9-under.

Charley Hoffman was 2-over through seven to slip to 8-under overall.

Rickie Fowler, who finished inside the top-5 at all four majors last year, is making a run at his fifth straight. Fowler is 6-under through 16 holes and has jumped into a share of sixth place at minus-7.

Fowler was joined there by world No. 1 Rory McIlroy, who was 1-under for seven holes; Ryan Moore, who was 4-under after 13; and Zach Johnson, who was 3-under through 11.

Spieth and Rose both birdied the first before Rose 2-putted for birdie at the par-5 second. That birdie moved Rose within three, which was as close as anyone had been to Spieth since early in the second round.

Spieth answered with a birdie on No. 3. A poor chip shot at the fifth led to a bogey for the leader.

Rose came up short at the sixth and that led to a bogey, which dropped him six behind.

Four-time champion Tiger Woods had two bogeys and a birdie through eight holes and was 5-under for the tournament.
