BELEK, Turkey – Ian Poulter completed a second-round 66 Saturday to take a six-shot lead at the Turkish Airlines Open.
The Englishman was four strokes in front when thunderstorms Friday forced play to be abandoned mid-afternoon on the Montgomerie Maxx Royal course.
Heavy overnight rain saw a further hour's delay to the start of play.
Poulter was 13 under after 14 holes before starting Saturday with a birdie at the 15th and three straight pars for an overall 14-under 130.
Shane Lowry, Brooks Koepka, Wade Ormsby, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Branden Grace and Hennie Otto shared second place on 136.
