Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Thursday that tight end Anthony Fasano has been released.

Fasano posted 25 receptions for 226 yards and four touchdowns in 15 games last season for head coach Andy Reid. He'll depart the club after two seasons, 48 catches, 426 yards and seven scores.

The Notre Dame product and New Jersey native was taken in the second round of the 2006 draft by the Cowboys. He has compiled 253 receptions and 2,799 yards along with 31 TDs over 132 games for Dallas (2006-07), Miami (2008-12) and Kansas City.
