The internet has crowned iconic actress Raquel Welch as having the hottest bikini body ever.
In honor of National Bikini Day on Tuesday, the website Swimwear365 held a poll asking fans to rank their favorite bikini-wearing celebrities.
Welch, 75, was easily handed the top stop, followed by Hollywood legends Ursula Andress in second and the great Marilyn Monroe in third. The three beat out modern-day starlets including Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Lopez and Gisele Bundchen.
“Baywatch” babe Anderson appears on the list at No. 6 and Lopez came in 9th. Bundchen barely made into the top 30, coming in at No. 29.
Welch, whose father was Bolivian, became a movie and sex icon when she wore a fur two-piece bikini in the 1966 movie “One Million Years B.C.” As for Andress, it was her legendary scene in James Bonds “Dr. No,” rising out of the sea in a classic white bikini, what propelled her to stardom.
"What we've found is that the iconic bikini bodies of yesteryear are as popular today as they ever were,” a spokesperson for the website said in a statement. “No matter where you are in the world, whether on the beach abroad or at home in the UK, it's important to feel confident in yourself and what you're wearing – just like Raquel Welch or Marilyn Monroe.”
The poll by Swimwear365 was answered by 2,000 women.
Other big names to appear on the list were Jessica Alba, Rhianna, Katy Perry, Helen Mirren, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Upton, and Kim Kardashian at No. 31.
