Randy Rogers’ newborn daughter has passed away. A rep for the band confirmed to Taste of Country that Rumer Rain Rogers died on June 9. She was born to the singer and wife Chelsea on June 3, 2015.

“She died in our arms and in no pain,” the lead singer of the Randy Rogers Band said in a statement to radio station 93Q in Houston. “She was absolutely beautiful in every way. Her brain however was very sick.”

“She died after a week-long battle with a very rare condition. I’m sure you all have many questions and we have all the answers the doctors gave us,” Rogers adds, according to the radio station.”We can share the story with you. It’s quite an extraordinary one. A memorial will be planned soon.”

Rumer was the couple’s second child, following the birth of older sister River Rose Rogers in 2013. Randy and Chelsea were married in March 2013. Randy Rogers Band are very popular in Texas and throughout the south, but have begun growing beyond state lines. Rogers and Wade Bowen recently released a collaborative album called Hold My Beer: Vol. 1. The RRB is scheduled to play Country Jam in Colorado, June 18-21.
