Country power couple Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks delighted fans Friday night with a surprise appearance on the Grand Ole Opry in front of a sold out crowd.

Introduced by Vince Gill, a fellow Opry member, Yearwood walked on stage first and addressed the audience. “I didn't have a chance to bring my band or call them or anything, but luckily I live with a Grand Ole Opry member, she quipped. So if you all would make welcome my guitar player tonight, my husband, Mr. Garth Brooks!”

Brooks appeared to an awestruck crowd as the two launched into Yearwood's hit “Shes In Love With the Boy,” with Brooks on guitar. The couple made the night even more special by treating the audience to portions of several of their favorite country duets, including Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn's “After the Fire is Gone,” Jim Ed Brown and Helen Cornelius “I Dont Want to Have to Marry You,” and George Jones and Tammy Wynette's “Golden Ring.”

We rehearsed in the truck on the way here, so Yearwood began before the medley, when Brooks interjected, Good luck!”

The two iconic artists are as busy as ever. Brooks is currently on the road with his wife for a giant world tour, promoting his most recent album, "Man Against Machine." He continues to break attendance records around the country.

Yearwood has recently released a new album called "PrizeFighter," not to mention her career as a successful cookbook author. Her book, "Trisha's Table," is a bestseller, and the Grammy Award winner can also be seen regularly on her Food Network show, "Trisha's Southern Table."
