SUWANEE, Ga. – A sheriff's office in suburban Atlanta says three people have been killed and two wounded in a shooting at a home northeast of the city.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Maj. Rick Doyle says the suspected shooter is one of the two wounded people.

Doyle, who is director of operations for the sheriff's department, says authorities think the shootings occurred around 6 a.m. Wednesday in the residence along Old Atlanta Road.

Identities of those involved were not immediately released, but Doyle says the suspect in the case is known among local law officers from previous arrests.
