Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Yankees placed pitcher Chris Martin on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with right elbow tendinitis.

Martin pitched in Friday's 5-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles, inheriting a two-on, two-out situation, and allowed two hits, including a two-run single by Jimmy Paredes, in one inning of work.

The 28-year-old right-hander, acquired from Colorado in January, is 0-1 with a 3.55 ERA and one save in 15 appearances this season.

New York recalled pitcher Branden Pinder from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to fill the roster spot. The right-hander made his big league debut and appeared in two games for the Yankees last month.
