Van Roten released by Packers

Green Bay, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Green Bay Packers released guard/center Greg Van Roten on Wednesday.

Van Roten was signed by Green Bay as a non-drafted free agent out of the University of Pennsylvania in July 2012, appearing in seven games his rookie season.

This past season, he played in three games before being place on injured reserve on Oct. 15.
