Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso could be out for 1 win over Colombia in World Cup qualifying on Tuesday.

Burdisso had to be stretchered off the field in the 34th minute after a collision with James Rodriguez, with initial tests suggesting he has sustained ligament damage.

Further tests will be done on the knee in the next few days to fully determine the length of Burdisso's absence, but it will come as a blow to Roma with the 30-year-old featuring in 10 Serie A games this season and scoring one goal.
