French reporter freed by rebels says he'll stay in Colombia

The French journalist newly freed by Colombian rebels says he has no plans to leave the conflict-scarred South American country he's called home for a decade.

Romeo Langlois told a news conference in Bogota that he was leaving Thursday for Paris to see his parents but plans to return because his work and best friends are in Colombia.The 35-year-old journalist was accompanying soldiers on a cocaine-lab destruction mission, on assignment for France24 television, on April 28 when rebels attacked. Four security force members were killed and Langlois was wounded in the arm. He fled into rebel hands.Langlois said a soldier asked him during the firefight if he wanted to get a rifle and fight, and he said sorry but he's not a combatant.He was freed on Wednesday....
