Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Alex Killorn had one goal and an assist to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 4-2 win over the Nashville Predators on Thursday.

Martin St. Louis, Teddy Purcell and Richard Panik also tallied for the Lightning, winners in three straight. Anders Lindback made 28 saves in the win.

"Lindback deserves better from us. He and (Ben) Bishop have been A and A- plus," said Lightning coach Jon Cooper. "Hopefully we can continue to give him goal support because he's played better than his record."

Craig Smith scored both goals for the Predators, losers in seven of their last 10. Carter Hutton allowed four goals on just 14 shots before he was pulled in favor of Marek Mazanec in the second period. Mazanec made 19 saves in the setback.

Killorn opened up the scoring just 2:25 into the game. Killorn skated in along the right boards, stopped on a dime to shake a defender, then coasted into the middle of the ice before sending a wrister into the back of the net.

St. Louis lit the lamp at 19:06 of the fourth when he one-timed Sami Salo's pass from the point. Killorn came up with a loose puck behind the net and shoveled it to Salo, who slid the disc to St. Louis for his 14th marker of the season.

Smith got the Preds on the board 6:36 into the middle session. Shea Webber fired a shot from above the right circle that was redirected by Matt Cullen right to a charging Smith, who was able to beat Lindback to make it 2-1.

Purcell answered just under two minutes later. On a 3-on-2 run, Valtteri Filppula dropped a pass back to Purcell near the left circle and Purcell ripped a wrister past Hutton.

Smith's power-play marker made it 3-2. Cullen centered a pass from the goal line to Smith in front of the net, and Smith stuffed it home.

"They took some momentum away by scoring just after we did," Smith said. "They are a good team, but so are we. They can do some good things and so can we. They came out on top tonight and converted their chances."

Panik tipped in an Eric Brewer pass 49 seconds later to account for the final margin.
