St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Blues made a pair of roster moves involving injured reserve on Thursday.

The club activated defenseman Jay Bouwmeester from IR and placed defenseman Carl Gunnarsson on the same list.

Bouwmeester had played in 737 consecutive games, which was the longest active ironman streak in professional sports, until he was sidelined by a lower-body injury on Nov. 22 which landed him on IR one week later.

Gunnarsson has been sidelined by a hard hit to the head from Islanders forward Anders Lee on Dec. 6.

Lee was unpenalized and fined just under $2,300 for his misdeed.
