Even inmates need to satisfy their cravings for Kung Pow chicken.

Staff at Wheatfield Prison in Dublin discovered Chinese takeout containers in the trash of the jail yard recently, leaving many to speculate how on earth they got there.

DOMINO’S EMPLOYEE IN NORTH CAROLINA FIRED FOR WRITING N-WORD ON CUSTOMER'S ORDER

“There’s no other conceivable way a Chinese takeaway could get into the prison other than by a drone,” an unnamed source told the Irish Mirror.

“It goes to show inmates will go to great lengths to get what they want.”

A spokesperson for the Irish Prison Service said that he had not heard about the particular incident, but that the yard is covered by a net.

However, the unnamed source said this isn’t the first delivery inmates have received via drone. “A lot of the drugs appear to be getting in that way. There’s a running joke it’s like dial-a-drug service as you just get word of what you want, cocaine, spice or whatever, and it’s delivered in by a drone.”

It’s unclear whether or not this is true, but the prison spokesperson explained they are taking additional measures to prevent any smuggled goods from making it inside.

“Existing measures include regular patrols by staff [and] monitoring of cameras," he said, adding that exercise yards have netting fitted to prevent contraband being dropped or thrown into that area. “In addition, the installation of infrared and motion sensor cameras will commence shortly,” the spokesman said.
