Taylor Swift lip-syncing cop reacts to becoming a viral hit

The Dover Police Department in Delaware posted an apology to Taylor Swift on Friday.

In a Facebook post on Friday, they write, "While reviewing dashcam footage, we come across some interesting sights to say the least. We decided we would share some with you in a new web series called "Dash Cam Confessionals." We hope you enjoy this...and Taylor Swift if you're watching...we're sorry."

In a video that's bound to make you smile, Master Cpl. Jeff Davis sings along to Swift's "Shake It Off" and really gets into it while he drives. Now seen over 1 million times on YouTube, Davis sang with a purpose.

Davis told Fox News he knew that the camera was on and that, "We had it done just as a publicity thing for not only our police department but police worldwide."

Although he did know all the words, he says, "With all of the negative publicity the police have been getting nationwide and worldwide, I think it was a good thing to show a little, the lighter side of the police."

Swift's song has been sung by fraternities, Victoria's Secret models and countless celebrities, but cops are no different, as Davis says, "We just wanna kind of make a funny video to show that we're all human."
