Is another catfight brewing over at “E! News”?
After years of feuding with former host Giuliana Rancic, we’re told Maria Menounos now has it in for another rival correspondent, Catt Sadler, who’s threatening her airtime.
An insider tells us execs haven’t been satisfied with Menounos’ performance lately and are looking to beef up Sadler’s presence as a result.
“There was a big meeting to discuss how to use Catt more. They want to give her better stories and better interviews. They’re nervous about Maria, especially since ratings continue to decline. They’ve inherited her contract and regret it big-time,” said an insider.
The source added that when Menounos negotiated her contract, she specifically asked to replace Rancic if she left.
An E! rep said: “Completely inaccurate and absurd. We are thrilled with Maria’s performance. There is no ‘battle’ between Catt and Maria.”
Menounos’ rep added, “They are a very tightknit group. Maria and Catt were playing basketball at Terrence [Jenkins’] the other night. Everyone was having fun and they get along great.”
