Demi Lovato, Unfazed By Joe Jonas' Mag Tell-All, Tweets Him Love. 'Loser,' Says Sister

Demi Lovato has nothing but “love” for her former boyfriend and “Camp Rock” co-star Joe Jonas after he claimed she and Miley Cyrus forced him to smoke marijuana.

The “X Factor” judge responded on Twitter to Jonas’ tell-all essay for New York magazine in which he opened up about dating Lovato shortly before she went to rehab and how she pressured him to smoke weed for the first time.

“@joejonas love you brother. #family/friendsforever,” Lovato, 21, tweeted – a reaction that might have surprised some of her fans.

In a piece titled, “Joe Jonas: My Life As a Jonas Brother,” the 24-year-old singer opened up about various aspects of his life, including his well-documented, though brief, relationship with Lovato.

“I really got to know her and got to see the ins and outs of what she was struggling with, like drug abuse,” Jonas wrote. “I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn’t happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her, because she needed help.”

Jonas called it “an insane situation” that kept building up until an incident on a plane prompted Lovato to enter rehab.

“Demi ended up punching a girl in the face on a plane, because she thought the girl was blaming her for something,” he wrote. “Everybody gasped, and the girl just started bleeding. That’s when her team and her family told her, ‘You need to go into rehab.’”

While Lovato’s reaction was all love toward her ex, her older sister, Dallas, had a different response.

“Pathetic how people cut others down to get attention off themselves. Loser,” @dallaslovato tweeted.
