The suspect who allegedly held four people hostage for about an hour Tuesday morning inside a Pennsylvania firehouse is reportedly in custody.

Authorities responded to the LaMott Fire Co. in Montgomery County, which is north of Philadelphia, where the hostages were held in the firehouse's basement, MyFoxPhilly.com reported.

The alleged hostage-taker was not identified, but Philly.com reported that he was a volunteer firefighter. The paper identified the hostages as firefighters. Emergency crews responded to the location and surrounded the brick building.

The paper reported that the suspect was armed with a handgun. There was one shot fired that hit a wall, the report said. There were no injuries.

Philly.com reported that the suspect was fired the day earlier.

Update (4:25 p.m.): Suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Paul Jordan.
