Police say a man opened fire on another man at a Pittsburgh-area mall and struck two bystanders as well, injuring all three.

The search is on for the suspect, who escaped after the shooting Saturday evening at the Monroeville Mall. Police went store to store to evacuate it.

Chief Douglas Cole says two men and a woman were shot, including the man who was targeted. He says the men are hospitalized in critical condition, while the woman is in stable condition.

Police described the suspect as a black male in his late teens who is between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 inches tall.

In late December, hundreds of teenagers gathered at the mall and several fights broke out. The fights caused local officials and mall administration to agree on a plan to increase security there.
