PHILADELPHIA – A woman charged with killing two colleagues at a Philadelphia food plant has told police she thought co-workers were spraying her with deer urine.
Yvonne Hiller was ordered Tuesday to stand trial in the September shooting spree at a Kraft Foods plant. At a court hearing, a homicide detective read a statement Hiller gave police after her arrest.
According to the statement, the 43-year-old Hiller thought she was being pranked by co-workers. The night of the shootings, she confronted them and was suspended over the encounter. She says she initially planned to go home, but police say she instead grabbed a gun and returned to the plant, killing two and wounding one.
A defense lawyer did not immediately return a call for comment Tuesday.
