Man found bound, gagged and shot in head in California store's fridge
HAWAIIAN GARDENS, Calif. – An investigation was underway Tuesday following the discovery of a man bound, gagged and shot in the head inside a refrigerator in a liquor store in California.
The grim find came after a man entered the Beer & Wine Market in Hawaiian Gardens, a city 21 miles south of Los Angeles, at about 4:45pm local time, KTLA-TV reported.
Officials said the man had found the store's entrance doors open and the lights switched off, adding that the cooler's doors were also open.
The man rang 911 and cops called to the scene discovered the dead man inside the refrigerator.
According to residents of the neighborhood, the store's previous owner had been killed inside the premises a decade ago.
