A man wanted by authorities for allegedly firing dozens of rounds at police from the roof of his house, critically injuring one deputy, has been arrested.

KELK reports Peter Coca surrendered early Saturday after hiding in a basement in his hometown of Wells, about 60 miles from the Utah border.

Authorities say Coca was taken a hospital in nearby Elko after complaining of chest pains and was expected to be booked later into the Elko County Jail there.

Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at the house Thursday, and spotted Coca on the roof with a rifle. He allegedly ignored requests to show his hands and fired up to 60 rounds at police before fleeing.
