Animal welfare workers are investigating a grisly cruelty case involving the deaths of two cats in a western Pennsylvania community.

Humane officers at Animal Friends say the cats were found decapitated and stuffed into shopping bags this week in Sharpsburg, near Pittsburgh.

Investigator Kathy Hecker says the cats were discovered on the same street, one on Monday and one Tuesday.

Hecker says a $200 reward has been posted for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
