An Ohio emergency official says five people were wounded, including one fatally, when gunfire erupted on Cleveland's west side.

Capt. Carol Cavin of Cleveland's Division of EMS says four people, including a pregnant woman, were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center after the shooting about 11:15 p.m. Sunday.

She says one of the victims, a man apparently in his 40s, was pronounced dead on arrival.

The others, she says, were listed in critical condition. They included a 22-year-old woman who was four-months pregnant; a 45-year-old man and a 24-year-old man.

The fifth shooting victim, a 53-year-old woman, was taken to Fairview hospital. Cavin says the woman was shot in the arm and was in stable condition.

Police confirmed that they were investigating a homicide, but would not release any details.
