CLEVELAND (AP) — A judge in Cleveland says he won't move the trial of a man charged with killing 11 women and dumping their remains around his home.

Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH'-guh) County Common Pleas Judge Dick Ambrose on Wednesday rejected a defense motion to move the trial. He says he'll reconsider if an unbiased jury can't be seated in Cleveland.

Fifty-year-old Anthony Sowell (SOH'-wehl) has pleaded not guilty to killing the women. His trial is scheduled for September.

The judge says he'll bar cameras and recording devices from jury selection to limit outside influences. He plans to allow pool camera coverage during the trial.

The defense had argued widespread publicity and the leak of confidential court documents made it impossible to find an impartial jury in Cleveland.
