London, England – The United States women's national soccer team was drawn with France, Colombia and North Korea on Thursday for the 2012 Olympic Games.
The United States was placed in Group G of the tournament, where it will start its quest to reach a fifth straight final. The Americans have won three of the previous four Olympic tournaments (1996, 2004 and 2008). Norway won in 2000.
France and Colombia qualified for the Olympics for the first time, while North Korea will make its second straight appearance.
The United States opens against France on July 25, plays Colombia on July 28, and then wraps up the stage against North Korea on July 31.
Great Britain was drawn in Group E with New Zealand, Cameroon and Brazil. Group F features 2011 World Cup winner Japan, Canada, Sweden and South Africa. Groups A-D consist of the men's groups.
The tournament begins July 25, and ends August 9.
