The Sedin twins helped the in-form Vancouver Canucks continue their domination of the visiting Maple Leafs as the hosts recorded a 10th straight victory over Toronto with a 6-2 thrashing on Saturday.
The Pacific Division-leading Canucks (37-15-6) have earned at least a point in 12 consecutive games while the Maple Leafs (29-24-6) have lost five of their last six and are clinging to the eighth and final playoff berth in the Eastern Conference.
Daniel and Henrik Sedin, held pointless in Vancouver's three previous games, combined for one goal and seven assists, and linemate Alex Burrows scored twice to pace the Canucks offense at the Rogers Arena.
Vancouver built a three-goal advantage on Burrows's tallies and a Manny Malhotra goal before Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf narrowed the margin with a slapshot past Roberto Luongo, who was knocked out of position in a goalmouth melee.
The goal briefly energised the Leafs but the Canucks regained the momentum with a pair of goals in as many minutes by Daniel Sedin and Sami Salo to stretch their lead to 5-1 through two periods.
Vancouver's Kevin Bieksa and Toronto's Nikolai Kulemin exchanged third period goals to complete the scoring.
