Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Phoenix Mercury re-signed guard/forward DeWanna Bonner on Tuesday.

Bonner averaged 10.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 34 games last season and totaled 11.3 points in eight playoff games en route to her second WNBA title with the Mercury in the past six seasons.

"DeWanna is one of the best players in the world, and she has always selflessly put the team's needs ahead of her own," said Mercury general manager Jim Pitman. "She has won awards as the league's best bench player, and last season started every game as the anchor of our championship defense, and a key part of our outstanding team chemistry. We are thrilled to have her continue in a Mercury uniform."

The 27-year-old won the Sixth Woman of the Year award in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and is only player to win the award multiple times.

Bonner owns career averages of 13.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 200 career games. She also ranks second on the franchise's all-time list with 1,197 rebounds.
