Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored at 2:20 of overtime, Mike Smith stopped 23 shots, and the Arizona Coyotes rallied to beat the Florida Panthers 2-1 on Saturday night.

Justin Hodgman scored in his NHL debut and the Coyotes had a strong defensive game in front of Smith to end a three-game losing streak (0-2-1).

Hodgman, a healthy scratch in two games during his first stint with the Coyotes, scored on a power play midway through the third period to end Arizona's scoreless streak of more than 127 minutes. Ekman-Larsson ended it on another power play, one-timing a shot past Robert Luongo.

Brandon Pirri scored in the third period, and Luongo stopped 39 shots for Florida.

The Panthers struggled offensively to open the season, scoring five goals in their first five games.
