Spoiler Alert!

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” appears to pick up right where “The Force Awakens” left off.

A sneak peek at the franchise’s eighth installment, shown Wednesday to Disney shareholders and Los Angeles Times reporter Daniel Miller, has Luke Skywalker asking Rey, “Who are you?” as she hands him back his long-lost light saber on top of a sprawling green hill.

Miller also tweeted that familiar characters will be returning to “The Last Jedi,” like Chewbacca, General Leia Organa and Finn, the failed stormtrooper who became Rey’s brother-in-arms in Episode VII.

A military-uniform clad Leia appeared in one scene that was shown to the shareholders and Miller and didn’t speak in the clip.

Miller said to expect all sorts of settings – mountains, oceans, forests and deserts — in the new movie.

“Look suitably epic, exotic,” Miller wrote.

Another scene showed a struggling X-wing under attack in a ship, which Miller described looking like a “wounded bird.”

“The Force Awakens” ended in an epic, wind-blown encounter between Rey and Luke, who’d gone missing. Luke, whose character was reprised by Mark Hamill, peels off the hood of his cloak as a teary-eyed Rey wordlessly hands him his light saber.

“The Last Jedi” hits theaters Dec. 15.
