EVERETT, Wash. – A train has collided with a tanker truck near Paine Field at Everett and a truck trailer was knocked on its side, spilling fuel.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesman Gus Melonas says there are no reports of injuries and no fire from the accident that happened about 10 a.m. Monday at a private crossing on Boeing property.
BNSF provides a switching service in the industrial area. Melonas says two locomotives were moving about 5 miles per while flashers and bells were activated at the crossing.
When the truck drove through the crossing, the train hit the trailer, knocking the tank on its side and spilling aviation fuel.
Emergency responders and clean-up crews have responded.
