COPPELL, Texas -- Autopsy reports confirm a Texas mayor's gunshot wound was self-inflicted and her daughter was shot from behind.

The bodies of Coppell Mayor Jayne Peters and her 19-year-old daughter, Corinne Peters, were discovered in their home earlier this month after the mayor failed to show up for a City Council meeting.

The Dallas County medical examiner released records on Tuesday that show Corinne Peters was shot in the back of the neck. The mayor shot herself in the forehead.

The reports do not explicitly state the mayor shot her daughter, although authorities suspect she did.
