'All Clear' Given at Oklahoma City Airport Following Suspicious Package
The "all clear" has been given at the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City after a suspicious package was discovered at the baggage claim office, according to KFOR.com.
The package contained a bullhorn that played Christmas music, part of a cell phone, and some wiring.
Airport spokeswoman Karen Carney tells the website that the bomb squad should be finished investigating soon and will give the "all clear."
Parts of the airport were evacuated and some departing flights were cancelled after a suspicious box was discovered at a baggage claim office. The wiring and cell phone parts in the package alerted security officials.
Carney says the box was discovered Friday morning.
Carney says the ticket lobby and baggage claim levels of the airport were evacuated and that arriving flights have not been allowed to pull up to the gates.
Incoming traffic to the airport also has been stopped.
Carney says no departing flights have taken off since about 9:45 a.m.
