PHOENIX -- Phoenix police say three people are dead and two others were wounded following early morning shootings at a central Phoenix apartment complex near Camelback Road and Interstate 17.

Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Steve Martos tells The Associated Press police were called out about 3:30 a.m. Thursday and found two men, ages 20 and 26, dead from gunshot wounds.

A 35-year-old woman was also found with a gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital where she later died.

Two men in their mid-20s were also wounded and were taken to the hospital.

Martos says multiple vehicles were seen leaving the area, but police have not released information on the shooter or shooters or a motive, other than an altercation outside the apartment that resulted in gunfire.
