Police say three bodies have been found at a north Phoenix home and they appear to be a man and his parents.

Police responded to a call from a neighbor who reported seeing the body of a man in the backyard of the home on Thursday afternoon.

Police say the man in his 50s was found slumped over in a chair in the backyard and the bodies of his parents were found inside the home.

They say all of the victims were confirmed dead from gunshot wounds and trauma and the victims had been dead for several days. Police did not immediately release the names of any of the victims.

Authorities told The Arizona Republic that there's no sign of forced entry at the home and that the circumstances surrounding the deaths are still under investigation.
