Bologna, Italy – Mirko Vucinic and Claudio Marchisio scored in the second half of play at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Saturday to help Juventus claim a 2-0 win over Bologna.
A scoreless first half gave way to a two-goal performance from Juve as Vucinic opened the scoring just after the hour mark.
Marchisio made it two by adding an insurance goal in the 73rd minute, his fifth Serie A goal of the campaign.
The win sees Juventus extend its lead at the top the Serie A table. The Old Lady improves to 65 points to go 12 points ahead of Napoli.
Bologna's three-game winning run in Serie A play comes to an end as the club stays put on 35 points.
Catania 3, Udinese 1
Catania, Italy - Alejandro Gomez bagged a second-half brace to power 10-man Catania to a 3-1 victory over Udinese at the Stadio Angelo Massimino on Saturday.
A scoreless opening period saw Catania jump in front just four minutes after the restart as Gomez netted his first of the match.
The match turned in favor of the visitors in the 57th minute when Catania had Alessandro Potenza sent off, but the home side managed to grab two more as Gomez and Francesco Lodi scored four minutes apart to overcome the disadvantage.
Luis Muriel pulled a goal back for Udinese nine minutes from time, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation goal.
Catania moves to seventh place in Serie A with 45 points on the season, four points clear of Udinese.
