Three players scored in double figures for Montana State with Jamie Stewart leading the way, scoring 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting including six rebounds and Montana State cruised past Montana Tech 78-54 on Thursday night.

Calen Coleman scored 14 points, Xavier Blount chipped in 13 points and six rebounds and the Bobcats hit 32 of 62 from the field, shooting 51.6 percent. The Bobcats forced 26 turnovers by Montana Tech and recorded 18 steals.

Montana State (2-5) took a 44-27 lead at halftime and led by as many as 28 points with 12:05 remaining in the second half after Stewart hit a jumper to cap a 16-5 run and make it 60-32.

Daniel Simon was the only player in double figures for the Diggers, scoring 12 points for Montana Tech (6-5), an NAIA school out of Butte, Mont. Tanner Neumann added seven points and eight rebounds for the Diggers.
