POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Ryan Bacon scored 13 points and Saint Peter's beat Marist 66-54 on Friday night to sweep the season series.
The Peacocks opened the game with an 11-0 run and led by as many as 19 points in the first half. The lead never dipped below 12 points in the second half.
Darius Conley added 11 points, and Yvon Raymond and Jeron Belin each scored 10 points for the Peacocks (15-10, 10-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who have won five of their past six games. Saint Peter's beat Marist by 32 points two weeks ago.
The Peacocks had their best shooting night of the season, making 57.1 percent (28 of 49) from the field. Meanwhile, Marist entered the game shooting only 38.8 percent from the field and was 18 of 58 (31 percent) Friday night.
Dorvell Carter scored 18 points and Jay Bowie added 15 for the Red Foxes (4-22, 3-11), who lost their ninth consecutive game.
